1リットルの涙 (One Litre of Tears)

 

1 rittoru no namida (1リットルの涙, Ichi rittoru no namida, lit. "1 Litre of Tears"; also called A Diary with Tears or A Diary of Tears) is a Japanese television drama for Fuji Television about a girl who was diagnosed with an incurable degenerative disease at 15, but was able to continue her life until her death at the age of 25.

Aya Ikeuchi at the age of fifteen was diagnosed with a spinocerebellar degeneration, a disease which malfunctions human's motor function eventually making them paralytic. She went to Higashikou school, but due to her illness couldn't make it for graduation and was relocated to special school for disabled people. She was strong and never thought she would die. She wrote a diary telling how she struggled with her illness, how her family stood by her, how her friends treated her and finally how strongly she never gave up life.

Film ini benar-benar sangat sedih. "One Litre of Tears" bukan hanya judulnya, bahkan yang menyaksikan pun dapat meneteskan air mata 1 liter karena ceritanya.

Kata-kata itu sangat menyentuh bagiku..
Aya sangat tabah menghadapi penyakitnya. Masih tetap ceria, dan bertahan hidup semampunya. Meski tak jarang juga ia harus bertemu pandangan-pandangan yang tidak enak. Keluarganya pun keluarga yang hebat, selalu ada untuk Aya sampai akhir hayatnya. Terutama ibunya, beliau selalu ada dan menyokong Aya dengan kata-katanya. Adiknya yang pertama, Ako, pun membuat saya terharu, benar-benar adik yang sangat hebat dan selalu bangga pada kakaknya.

Film ini diangkat dari kisah nyata seorang gadis bernama Aya Kitou (July 19, 1962 - May 23 1988).
Kisah aslinya mungkin tak terlalu berbeda dengan filmnya. Aya diketahui mengidap spinocerebellar degeneration sewaktu berusia 15 tahun, berjuang melawan penyakit itu hingga akhirnya meninggal pada usia 25 tahun.
